Loving What You Make
I pour each piece into a mold, let it dry, and remove it from the mold. When it is dry enough, I clean the seam lines from each piece and then decide what to do with it. I might choose to apply underglaze to the greenware before firing it, or I may chose to fire it without underglaze. After firing, the pieces I applied underglaze to will get three coats of glaze and are fired in the kiln again.
The other pieces can be painted with acrylics, color wash, or glazed and fired again. After firing with glaze, I might choose to apply a decal. These pieces will be fired a third time to make the decal a permanent part of the piece.
So each ceramic item I make takes a lot of time and thought. Each one has a part of me.

- Hi there. Just found your page via IndiePublic. You did a great job on your page. Nice to see other people using squidoo. Did you know about the SquidEtsian Team? I just came across them the other day in the groups section.
