Jimmer Fredette of the BYU Cougars
Jimmer Fredette is an American Basketball Player who plays college basketball at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Utah. Fredette was born on February 25, 1989. He grew up in Glens Falls, NY where he played AAU Basketball for the Albany City Rocks as well as the Glens Falls High School team. He graduated from High School in 2007, and was considered to be a 3 star recruit by Rivals.com when he committed to play for BYU.
Jimmer did not start in a single game as a freshman, but he did play more than 600 minutes. As a sophomore, he became a solid and consistent starter. In his Junior year, Fredette averaged more than 22 points per game in the 2009-2010 season and set a school record when he scored 49 points in a single game at the Arizona Wildcats on December 28, 2009. In the 2010-2011 NCAA Basketball season, Fredette emerged as a premier scorer and led the NCAA when he averaged 28.9 points per game. Fredette's scored his collegiate personal high number of points on March 11, 2011 when he put up 52 points against the New Mexico Lobos.

Fredette simply looked unstoppable as he went 22 of 37 from the field and 1/1 from the line in route to a new personal record, a new school record, and a new Mountain West Conference record setting 52 point performance against the New Mexico Lobos on March 11, 2011.

Jimmer Fredette Played High School Basketball in Glens Falls, NY where he scored 2404 points ranking him sixth all time for the State of New York. He was a first team all-state selection as a Junior and a Senior. As a senior, Jimmer led his team by averaging more than 28 points per game dropping season high total of 46 in a single game and having 12 games scoring more than 30. His team would finish with a 25-2 record and earned a trip to the Class 2-A State Championship game.
In 2006, Jimmer led his AAU Team (the Albany City Rocks) to a third place finish in the AAU National Championships.
He also played football and was an all-state wide receiver as a Junior.
Fredette was heavily recruited by schools such as Seton Hall, Syracuse, Penn State, NC State, and others. He chose BYU.
