Wasting Away in Margaritaville - I Love Jimmy Buffett Music

I am a long time fan of Jimmy Buffet. I listen to his music when I sail, and whenever I want to think about sailing. Jimmy Buffett music makes me happy! In the mid 90s I went cruising in Mexico with five members of our sailing club. Four were strangers prior to signing up for the trip. We agreed to each bring only three music albums, and four of us brought Jimmy Buffett music.

Surprisingly, that's how people look for him. As the aim of most writing is to have people read it, I have interchanged the correct and incorrect spelling of Buffet or Buffett to help people find this page. It's an experiment, so please don't take offense.

Jimmy Buffett opened the first "Margaritaville" restaurant in 1985 in Key West Florida. Although he has a home locally and has been known to visit his restaurant, sometimes with surprise performances, we missed him when we were there in 1998. As one would imagine a Jimmy Buffet restaurant to be, it is a fun casual dining café, which has expanded to become an American based restaurant chain, as well as a chain of stores selling Jimmy Buffett-themed merchandise. There are currently Margaritavilles or Margaritaville Cafes in many southern US cities, Mexico and on several Caribbean Islands.

Love Jimmy B. Saw him in 2 concerts. Awesome. Saw him at a resort in Florida, so close and my husband wouldn't let me interrupt him to get his autograph. Understand, but I sure would like to have it now. Great job on this. 5 Margaritas, 1 bird and 1 face.
