About the Artist
A self-taught artist from South Carolina, Jim Shore creates his popular works of art based on his deep appreciation of handcrafted quilts and folk art textures, and by drawing on his nostalgic childhood memories.

Jim Shore has combined the traditions of American Wood Carvings with the visual textures of hand made quilts into a unique grouping of collectable figurines and Holiday ornaments.

From the barnyard animal to the seashore lighthouse these figures are designed to light the eye and tickle the spirit as they bring to your home the joy of Rural Americana.

Mr. Shore's efforts encompass your entire lifestyle -- from Rooster and Horse based weathervanes to Christian based renderings of Noah's Ark and the delightfull Twelve Days to Christmas series of Tree Ornaments.

Also teaming with that other American Icon -- Disney -- The Folk Artist has developed a special grouping Walt Disney Character decoratives.
