Wacky Japanese T-shirts

Welcome to the wackiest page at J-List, our selection of funny Japanese T-shirts.

"Looking for a Japanese Girlfriend"

"Looking for a Japanese Girlfriend"

A great way to meet Japanese girls!

When we made our first "Looking for a Japanese Girlfriend" funny Japanese T-shirt back in 1997, we had no idea what a cult we were creating. Apparently there's a whole bunch of guys in the world who wouldn't mind getting attention from Japanese females in the world. Our best-selling T-shirt ever, this shirt features clear, clean text and a message that is perhaps best translated as "Now accepting applications for Japanese girlfriends." Features a nice red "rising sun of Japan" in the design. You never know what conversation this T-shirt could start, or where it might lead!

Japanese T-shirt "Looking for a Japanese Boyfriend"

Japanese T-shirt "Looking for a Japanese Boyfriend"

A great new fitted girly shirt from J-List!
By popular demand! J-List introduces great new form-fitting baby-doll-style that closely hugs the body and looks great. Longer in the abdomen and more shapely in the chest area, this a great high-quality T-shirt for girls!Ever since we started selling our unique Japanese T-shirts, we've received many requests by girls for versions for them. Well, here are our first two, cute T-shirts with funny Japanese messages on them. The message is pronounced nihonjin kareshi boshuchu. They go great as a his-and-hers pair, too. May you have good fortune finding love with this unique T-shirt.

Japanese T-shirt "Baka Gaijin"(Stupid Foreigner)

Japanese T-shirt "Baka Gaijin"
(Stupid Foreigner)

One of our wackiest T-shirt designs ever!

Two words a foreigner living in Japan learns pretty quickly are baka (stupid) and gaijin (foreigner). We put these two fun words together on a bizarre Japanese T-shirt that's perfect for fans who want to show their devotion to Japanese wacky culture! Dare to be stupid with this bizarre and fun Japanese T-shirt!

Wacky Kanji T-shirt - In Case of Emergency, Commit Seppuku Here

Wacky Kanji T-shirt - In Case of Emergency,
Commit Seppuku Here

A wacky new Japanese T-shirt with a Seppuku theme!

Ancient samurai were famous for committing ritual suicide by disemboweling themelves with their swords, which was called seppuku or harakiri (two ways to read the same kanji characters). Our latest J-List T-shirt features a wacky message in this tradition, with a Japanese warrior pointing to your midsection and the message, "In case of emergency, cut here."

Japanese T-shirt - Beware of Men Peeking at Women!

Japanese T-shirt - Beware of Men Peeking
(Men's standard)

A wacky Japanese T-shirt -- Beware of Men Peeking at women!
Japanese men are human, just like everyone else, and sometimes they have trouble controlling their inner urges. Here's a wacky T-shirt that warns people who see it to beware of "nozoki" -- peeping toms, who like to watch women secretly, in the bathroom and elsewhere. The text reads "Beware of Men Peeping" in clear, direct Japanese. Because the word "nozoki" is written with the hiragana writing system, it's someething that only Japanese can read or understand (it's illegible to Chinese, for example). A totally fun and wacky new design!

Japanese T-shirt "Beware of Perverts"

Japanese T-shirt "Beware of Perverts"

A wacky shirt for the hentai in you!

Men touching women in trains is a real problem in Japanese urban life, and there are actually signs in some places warning women to "beware of perverts." Here's a great T-shirt that captures this zaniness, featuring a bizarre image of a man toughing a woman on a train and a message of "Beware of Perverts" (Chikan chuui), with "Dangerous Persons are in this Area" printed below. A truly bizarre message and image that will cause confusion and funny reactions among Japanese who see it.

Japanese T-shirt "My Fuc*ing Style"

Japanese T-shirt "My Fuc*ing Style"
- Standard

A great kanji T-shirt from Japan featuring one of our favorite Japanese words!

Kanji is one of the most fascinating aspects of Japanese, and Westerners are often taken with the beautiful of the mysterious characters. One of our favorite words in Japanese is "ore-ryu" (oh-RAY ryoo), which literally means "my style" or "going my way," a person who does things his own way without considering what others might think. We've taken that cool Japanese concept and enshrined it on this cool kanji T-shirt, a superb embelem to show the world that you live life by your own unique rules. Because the male first person (ore, oh-RAY) has a rough edge to it, a more accurate way of translating this as "Doing things my own f**king way" or "I'm doing things my damn way, so if you don't like it, too bad." Note: because the Japanese word "ore" (oh-RAY) means is a masculine sounding word for "I" this shirt is recommended for men.
