A Different Kind of Marketing
Here I will be posting snippets from my marketing blog
If the snippet covers something that you are interested in, then click on over an read more. I'd also love to hear some of your marketing stories, case studies, etc.
The focus of the blog is about all things marketing related. This includes SEO, online marketing, social media, and anything else you can think of. I try to take a "different" approach to marketing. By "different" I mean I look at what other people are doing in the industry and then challenge their methodologies and ideas.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to share your ideas and comments!

Marketing Cannot Create Demand
Jacob Morgan says:
The problem with most marketers is that they don't leverage their greatest asset, the consumers.
People are too worried about leveraging marketing for their consumers instead of leveraging their consumers for their marketing.
Seth didn't you mention this in Purple Cow?

Jacob_Morgan says:
I think marketers are broken up into tiers. The two I can think of at the moment are the marketers that introduce an idea and the marketers that spread the idea.
The guys sitting in their offices that have brainstorming sessions all day are the guys who introduce ideas. They don't generate demand (even though they try really hard to).
The marketers who spread the ideas are people just like you and me. We are the ones who generate the demand.
