Adventures of Joan Reeves, a Word Slinger

Joan's Blog SLING WORDS

At least three times a week, I blog about writing and the writer's life. Sometimes I vent about my so-called life, but in a convivial manner because negativity will kill you faster than a red meat three times a day X 365.

Most people think authors are fat cats, rich enough to have racks of Manolo Blahniks and drive a Ferrari. If only that were true. Most authors are just working writers, plying the craft they love.

Do people still do guestbooks? I don't on my website any more since some people, names withheld to protect their scurrilous hides, think it's funny to drop socially unacceptable remarks onto the cyber pages. In fact, I don't really know any other authors who still maintain guestbooks.

Hopefully, Squidoo's cyber bots make sure everyone plays nice in this sandbox.

So, come on. Sign the book if you want. In any event, have an excellent day, filled with laughter and whatever else constitutes a good day for you!
