Finding a job

Ideas and tips for finding employment

Many countries now have high levels of un-employment, companies have reduced staff levels, and it is going to take a long time, if ever to get back to full employment.

So what do you do? If you have your own computer, you will need to create information about yourself and then publish this to as many employment opportunities as possible. It will not be quick, and there will be times you will want to give up. Don't, I was un-employed, created a small website and was found. Got a good job because I made the effort and put limited information about myself online.

I have tried to bring together a selection of resources which might help. There is also a current case I am working on to find emplyment for a particular individual. Details will be post here. I don't normally do this, it's for a friends, friend.

Each country has it's own way of requesting details of applicants, and my knowledge now day's is limited. The standards in North America which use a Resume format are different from the English C.V. (Curriculum vitae) and from the German Lebenslauf. One thing is for certain, you have to be correct with the details and honest about your knowledge and skills.

There are programs which can help you structure your information in a professional manner and is a good way to go. Naturally everything depends on your skills and knowledge.
