Joe's Favorite Topics Are How To

Joe Sabah is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer, consultant, author and publisher. He is based in Denver, Colorado where he operates a speaking/publishing/consulting business.

As a member of the National Speakers Association, in 1982 Joe served as co-founder and first president of the Colorado Speakers Association (a chapter of the National Speakers Association, now with over 150 members. He is also a member of the Publishers Marketing Association and the Small Publishers Association of North America. Joe served as the president of the Colorado Independent Publishers Association for 2 1/2 years, increasing its membership from 90 to 310.

Joe served the American Motivational Association as Regional Vice President in Northern California, Portland, Oregon and Denver, Colorado. His Sales Congresses traditionally exceeded 1,200 seminar attendees.

Joe is a master of selling "How-To" books as a guest on radio talk shows, and offers all his methods, scripts, contacts, etc. in a Course "How To Get On Radio Talk Shows All Across America Without Leaving Your Home Or Office." Joe has been on 700 shows and sold tens of thousands of his own books and definitely knows his stuff.

Has now recovered from a stroke.

I have great admiration for Joe. Even after suffering a stroke and having to go through both physical and speech therapy, he is still out there speaking and teaching. It didn't slow him down for long. You go Joe!

No getting dressed up. No travel.

Whether you have a story to tell
or a book or CD to sell,
talk show hosts want you.

There are 1,000 radio talk shows...
waiting to interview you every day.
These 1,000 radio talk shows were totally
updated Jan 27, 2008.

Just a 'chat' between you, the host AND
listeners calling in to ask you questions about

Your Favorite Subject:
You and Your Book

Then at the end of the show, either
the Host asks "How can our listeners get your book?"
and you give out your 800# or web site
or You ask the host "May I give out my order
contact information?" Get ready for "Ka-Ching!"

How do I know this?
I've been interviewed 668 times (so far).
Results? $376,500.00 in book sales ALL AT FULL RETAIL. AVERAGING OVER $560.00 PER SHOW.
(Not too bad. Most of the time sitting at home in my bathrobe.)

PS Even after experiencing a stroke 4 years ago
I find I can still do talk show interviews,
thanks to Tom my speech therapist
who helped me gain my speaking voice back.

Joe's Book about Getting On Talk Radio

How to Get on Radio Talk Shows All Across America w/o Leaving Home

Step by step, shows you what to do
By Loren Ek

An excellent resource with all the nuts and bolts of getting
on radio talk shows, including samples of letters,post-cards press kit materials, even templates for planning your phone
calls to producers. I am aware that personnel at radio stations are constantly changing, so I am not concerned that the book does not list them. The author updates this contact information constantly and makes it available on disk for a modest cost. He's been on hundreds of talk-shows, and this book shows you how he got guest spots and how you can, too.

10 Keys to Becoming a Better Speaker

by Joe Sabah

1 - Only, Only, Only speak on something you've earned the right to speak about . . .

either from your own experience or your education.

2 - Audiences love stories. Include these vignettes in every talk. The more the better.

3 - Use the journalists formula, people love details . . . many details.

Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How

4 - Humor is best when it is natural humor. Especially stories that make the speaker the "butt of the joke."

5 - Never, Ever write out your talk. This creates the tendency to either read it or memorize it. Either case spells disaster.

6 - Notes may help. Better still use an Acronym to structure your talk. For example:

if you are speaking on Goals . . .

G - Get paper and pencil and write down your goals

O - Organize all your goals and dreams in list form, most important one first

A - Allocate 15 minutes each morning, and 15 minutes each evening to read your goals aloud

L - Learn to "go the extra mile.'" Do not end your day without completing everything on your "to do list"

S - Share your GOALS ONLY with other positive people

7 - Record every presentation. Play it back several times. You will become your best coach and critic.

8 - Arrive early at every talk. Learn the names of at least 3 or 4 persons. Use these names in your talk.

9 - Expand your speaking training through Toastmasters - www.toastmasters.org, the Dale Carnegie Courses - www.dale-carnegie.com, the National Speakers Association - www.nsaspeaker.org and the Colorado Speakers Association, now NSA/CO - www.nsacolorado.org

10 - PRACTICE - PRACTICE - PRACTICE.

There are 480+ service clubs and organizations in the Denver Metro area who need speakers every week/every month. In addition, there are 390+ Colorado Associations and Corporations who also need speakers/trainers for their meetings.

If there are that many in Denver, what about LA, Chicago, Dallas, NY?
