John Coltrane was an American jazz saxophonist and composer.
John Coltrane, also called just "Trane" in jazz circles, has started his rcording areer very early and is one of the big jazz legends. There are recordings of John Coltrane from as early as 1945. He was a member of groups led by Dizzy Gillespie, Earl Bostic and Johnny Hodges in the early- to mid-1950s.
