By the way, one of my favorite scores of his was for the 1970s remake of King Kong. What drama -- and a sense of impending doom! Even as an 11-year-old sitting in that dark theater, I could sense that most of the film's grandeur was because of the score. It wasn't until years later that I found out who John Barry was.
