You have got to love John Candy.  The lovable big guy.  I just loved him in "Uncle Buck".  He was great in all of his movies. It was a big loss when he died at such a young age.

John Candy at a Glance 

John Franklin Candy (October 31, 1950 - March 4, 1994) was a Canadian comedian and actor. He rose to fame as a member of the Toronto, Ontario branch of The Second City, often playing lovable losers and characters with bad luck but big hearts. Candy died of a heart attack in 1994. His film roles were mostly comedic.

Candy's daughter, Jennifer is an actress and television producer, having production credits for the television series Prom Queen and Sam Has 7 Friends.
