Who is John Edwards?

John Edwards is a democratic politician who was the Democratic nominee for Vice President in 2004 and attempted to win the Democratic presidential nomination for 2008, but withdrew from the race after the January primaries. He was also a Senator from North Carolina for one term and prior to that he was a trial lawyer who litigated many high-profile cases that resulted in multi-million dollar verdicts in his clients' favor.
