Book Review - The New Rules of Marketing and PR

This is a picture of my 20-month old daughter Alyson. Her generation is likely to be much more responsive to the new rules of marketing that David Meerman Scott describes so eloquently in his book.

The problem with the old ways of marketing is that people from their earliest ages are bombarded with advertising and don't know what to trust. The result? Most people have learned to ignore instrusive marketing approaches like tv commercials or unsolicited email in favor of getting recommendations or referrals from people they trust.

David Meerman Scott describes how to get the word out and build a brand without using intrusive types of approaches that no longer work very well.
