How Did Johnny Depp out Hugh Jackman to be Crowned Sexiest Man Alive?

Hugh Jackman is out, as of today Johnny Depp is crowned People Magazines 2009 Sexiest Man Alive

Look at him. I don't get it. And it's Johnny Depp's second time to wear the crown (the first time Johnny Depp was crowned Sexiest Man Alive was in 2003). Hugh Jackman was the 2008 Sexiest Man Alive and certainly hasn't lost any of his pizazz, so how did he lose his crown? What do you think?

Hugh Jackman is interesting, but I wouldn't put him in this category. Johnny Depp was good looking in 21 Jump Street. He has gotten more scruffy looking over the years. Johnny has more dept to his acting ability. Which makes him sexy in that respect.

Johnny Depp is made of pure hotness! I'm surprise Hugh Jackman was the 2008 winner. He's hot but kind of in a bland way. I mean Johnny Depp has the kooky thing going on but Hugh is just a nice looking lump of wood IMHO. :p

Hugh who? Seriously - I had to look at the picture to know who Hugh Jackman is. He's not bad looking, but to me Johny Dep is sexier and his acting is amazing. Though whether he's the sexiest man alive ever... I think Keanu Reeves deserves a shot at that spot too :)

I like Hugh Jackman, but I don't think he's got quite the same ability to develop a believable character as Johnny Depp does.
Sometimes too much "in your face sexy" takes away from the movie experience.
I've literally cried watching some of Johnny Depp's movies...but I can't say the same about Hugh.

I looked at both of their pictures for a few minutes...I think there is a mystery about Johnny Depp that makes him fascinating (in addition to sexy). Jackman is very sexy too, but Depp edges him out. Slightly. Heh.
