Johnny Unitas is the Hall of Fame Quartberback for the Baltimore Colts.
Initially drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, Johnny Unitas began his 17 year professional career with the Baltimore Colts in 1956. He quickly became a hometown hero in the city of Baltimore, MD.
Johnny Unitas flourished in Baltimore. He led the Baltimore Colts to 2 National Football League Championships in (1958 and 1959), and 2 Super Bowl appearances (Super Bowl III and Super Bowl V).
Johnny Unitas was named NFL MVP 3 times after the 1959, 1964, and 1967 seasons.

John Constantine "Johnny" Unitas (May 7, 1933 ? September 11, 2002), nicknamed The Golden Arm and often called Johnny U, was a professional American football player in the 1950s through the 1970s, spending the majority of his career with the Baltimore Colts. He was a record-setting quarterback and the National Football League's most valuable player in 1959, 1964 and 1967. His record of throwing a touchdown pass in 47 consecutive games (between 1956-1960) remains unsurpassed as of 2009. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time.
