More Tools you will find useful for fixing clients computers
Tools which would help you fix clients computers faster and more effectively.
Sometimes, it is the most uncommon tools like a flash lights, magnify glass, notebook, calculator, or marker which can help you the most when fixing your clients computer. Without light or larger print it can be impossible to look for the right port to plug the cable into. A calculator would help you calculate wattage, current, and RAM required for a computer. Markers which are made for labeling DVDs and CDs are good to use since they would not damage the data on the CD like ball point pens, and pencils which can gouge the CD's data layer making the CD worthless.
Recommended Tools which may come in handy for fixing a computer
Tools you may need to fix a computer.
More recommended tools for helping you fix your CD drives, and other parts on a home computer.
Storage Devices you'll find helpful using as a Computer repair technician
USB flash drives, CDs, and External hard drives needed for fixing computers.

USB devices which are good for troubleshooting computers
USB peripherals which are good for troubleshooting wired networking, wireless networking, mouse, keyboard, and sound.
Sometimes parts inside a computer can fail, or Windows may not be working with certain devices on your computer. Thankfully, USB devices make troubleshooting devices easier since USB is Plug and Play meaning once you plug it in and install the necessary driver software it should work if it works with your version of Windows.
Useful Cables to own as a computer technician
Cables needed to help troubleshoot problems with PC
USB cables, power, phone and network cables are very useful to have in your tool box for most common problems you may run into like a computer cable is damaged or too short to plug into a device or computer.
eBay can be a great place to buy cheap computer and computer parts.
There are plenty of deals on computers, laptops, and parts on eBay.

YouTube is a great resource to learning about computers, computer programming, networking, computer hardware, and web design since you are less likely to find bad answers like using search engines which usually come up with forum results, or blog results where people are asking for help with the same problem you are having, but no one knows the answer, or replies to help while on YouTube people make videos to inform people how to do things rather then asking for help in most cases.

- I am a computer technician and often run into situations where a customer does not have their origional disks. Some companies I work for as a subcontractor simply has me have the customer to order the recovery disks. Are their any OS disks for technicians out their for XP Vista 7 that I could purchase and of course use the customers key

- Not sure, since I think most of the store bought disc have the key only work for one disc. I think you can try OEM Windows install disc instead of the regular retail windows install disc you buy at most computer stores which comes with a box, manuals, and other stuff. I think if the computer is still working like you can boot into Windows, you can burn recovery disc from within Windows, and newer computers made by Dell, HP, etc also has a recovery partition which works like a recovery disc, but you have to press a button to enter recovery mode.

Questions and Answers related to my career as an IT Computer Technician.
Questions and Goals of a computer technician who lives in Canada.
1. Why did I pick my career to be a computer technician?
Computers are interesting to me. I been interested in them ever since I was a child. I find it so amazing you can use computers to play games, chat with friends, make and share videos on Youtube, and help me finish my homework and daily stuff like paying bills faster, so I can spend more time on fun activities like watching movies, or going out. I also believe IT is a good industry when it comes to job security since there are many ways to earn a living "going to people houses to fix computers, working at a PC shop or as a computer technician at a school, office, or the government, writing software, making websites about trends in IT, and networking."
I also enjoy helping people with their computer related problems since it seems to make them so happy when I fixed their computer.
My latest IT interests include search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, blogging, foruming, social media, Online video tutorialsinternet marketing, E-commerce, cloud computing, virtualization, networking, and portable computing.
2. What are your goals in IT
My IT related goal is to run a successful online computer help website and to find a job as a computer technician. In the future, I like to open my own IT computer company or website and be self-employed by my own IT company. But, I am also willing to skip the computer technician goal if I can earn enough income to be self-employed from online income or can come up with a way of being self employed by starting an IT related buisness with low start up costs, but medium to high return on investments like E-books, digital products, software, and ad and affiliate sponsored computer help videos, and tutorials website.
What do you think is the most important step in suceding in IT?
I have to build a good relationship with costumers first, and make sure he is happy with your work, and to continue improving my current computer skills and keep learn new computer skills.
What are my interests
I enjoy spending my free time playing video games, watching TV, and movies, going outdoors, and going on the internet.

Places to get volunteer and work experience as a computer technician
Suggestions on places to get volunteer and work experience as a computer tecnican
The easiest places to look for volunteer or paid work experience as a computer technicians are working for free for your friends, family, associates, strangers by posting your IT services on Craigslist, and classified ads and websites, and businesses and non-profits which require someone to fix computers. Asking friends and relatives if they need someone to fix their computer and home computer or network can be a good start for computer technicians who are just starting out in the IT field.
Craigslist, Monster, and other job boards also have job posting for IT work.
Asking your local electronic stores, accounting offices, law offices, the military, the government, real estate firms, cable company, internet service providers, and other companies for work can be a good start. Be sure to be dress professionally, and have your cover letter, resume, portfolio, and credentials when asking for jobs in their IT department.
You can also try job placement and recruiting agency for finding work as an computer technician. However, you need to make sure the job placement agency has a good reputation.
I also recommend starting a blog about computer tutorials, and posting computer help video tutorials to YouTube, and video sharing sites, so potential employers might see that you are knowledgeable about computers by reading your computer help blog, and watching your videos on computer tutorials. However, both your blog and YouTube channel should be as professional as possible meaning you should not have personal videos and blog posts on either since it can make you look less professional as an IT Professional. Treat your professional blog and YouTube channel, Twitter, etc like a business or your resume.
If you are a college student, you should talk to your college's teachers, counselor, and job placement office for more help on planning your career path.
Sometimes looking for a job cam be tough, so you have to be consistent at sending resume to employers on a daily basis, and networking with other IT professionals, so you can get recommendations for job openings. Your first job may not be your dream job. However, if you do a good job at your first IT related job, you can ask your pass employers to be your reference, and write you a letter of recommendation which gives you a better chance to get hired at another company which you wished to work at.
If you have the ambition and funds, you can start a small IT computer and network repair company where you fix client's computers and networks.
