Four Reasons You Need To Join NETFLIX!

I have a confession to make: I'm a Netflix junkie! It's true. I've always loved movies, but until two years ago, I didn't even own a DVD player. Why, you might ask? Well, even before the dust settled on my VHS player, I found that going to the video store was just too much of a hassle...never mind that they usually never had what I wanted anyway. So, when the DVD craze began, I wasn't in much of a hurry to buy a DVD player. Again, I figured it would be too much of a hassle trying to rent what I wanted to see, not to mention getting it when I wanted it.

Then, some genius came up with Netflix and my movie watching glory re-emerged! I've been one happy girl eating my popcorn, watching my movies, documentaries, and foreign films! If you love watching movies on DVD and haven't joined Netflix yet, what are you waiting for?



In my opinion, there are FOUR great benefits to joining Netflix...

1. CONVENIENCE

Come on...what could be better than having your selected movies delivered right to your door? Your movie comes in an envelope which also doubles as the postage paid return envelope...once you're done watching your movie, you slip it in the return envelope and put it out in your mailbox. You can keep 'em as long as you like...if you want to keep it one month (not that I'm sure why one would) you can do so with no questions asked.

2. PRICE

If you watch a lot of movies, you can reap great benefits by joining Netflix. They have different plans to suit different viewing tastes. I have the 3-out-at-a-time unlimited plan which comes out to a little over $17 a month, which includes taxes. With this plan, the most movies I can feasibly have at home at one time is three...once I return one, they'll send me the next one that I have chosen in my "queue", which is my Netflix list of movies that I want to see. Netflix has distribution centers all over the country that ship DVD's to their customers. Depending on your location, you may see a very fast turnaround on your return movie being received and your next one being shipped. I live in a small town and my closest distribution center would have a 2-3 day turnaround average. Recently, a distribution center opened up about 40 miles from me, so now I see a very fast turnaround. For instance, I put a movie in the mailbox yesterday and then got an email this morning that my return had been received...the next movie in my queue was shipped today and I should receive it tomorrow. When you get speedy turnaround like this, you have the opportunity to watch quite a few movies in one month on an unlimited plan and can really get your money's worth!

3. SELECTION

I guess what I love the most about Netflix is the HUGE variety of movies there are to choose from. There is truly something for everyone, including those gems from foreign countries that you would never find at your local DVD/video store. Let's face it, most stores don't have room for over 90,000 titles...that's right, I said 90,000 titles! Just about anything you could want to watch is available at Netflix.

4. FREE Movies

If you're a Netflix member, they've added another perk which blows any competition out of the water. Several months ago they introduced FREE movies online. They have a selection of movies that you can watch on your computer for no additional charge. These FREE movies do not count against your rental plan, you can watch as many as you want. They currently have over 7,000 movies and TV shows that paying members can view.

With plans starting out as little as $4.99, not to mention a two week free trial, what do you have to lose for giving Netflix a try? The worse thing that might happen is you'll become a Netflix Junkie...and never visit your local video store again.
