The Best Joker Suit And The Dark Knight Rises

While not trying to take anything away from the excellent acting job of Jack Nicholson as the Joker from Tim Burton's 'Batman' movie or even Cesar Romero's fantastic role as the Joker in the 'Batman' television series, Heath Ledger's role as the Joker in Christopher Nolan's 'Batman: The Dark Knight' was an outstanding performance that will be hard (if not impossible) to ever surpass.

While it is rumored that Tom Hardy's role as the Joker in the Dark Knight Rises will not be the same type of character as Heath Ledger's, I am anxious to see the Joker's performance in the Dark Knight Rises.

In many films today there are actors or actresses that perform a great job of bringing their character to life, then there are rare cases where they go beyond this and excel in convincing the audience that they truly live the role, Heath Ledger's role was one of these rare cases and Hardy may find it difficult to top Ledger's performance.

From his deranged laugh through out strategic parts of the movie, to his humorous antics of a faulty detonator switch when blowing up the hospital, Heath Ledger truly gave the audience more than a performance.

While the Joker was portrayed by several different people over the years, in my opinion Heath Ledger was the best at bringing out the character's deranged mentality while still keeping a sense of humorous reasoning, but according to rumor, the Joker's character in the Dark Knight Rises will not be in a humorous mood and will be more physically intimidating and straight forward.

This may make judging Tom Hardy's Performance of the Joker with Heath Ledger's performance extremely difficult if not impossible.

Either way, I think we will all be in for a great ride with the new movie coming out this summer.
