Jollyville Chick at Squidoo

I've enjoyed making lenses with Squidoo. These are the ones I've made so far.

The funny thing about Squidoo is that I tend to work in phases. For a couple of months, I'll spend a bunch of time creating new lenses or updating existing ones. I come up with ideas for new lenses faster than I can produce them. Then for some reason, I pull back and may spend just an hour or so a week with Squidoo. Months may go by before I get back into it again. Although I feel I have many quality lenses, there are some that I'm not very proud of. Those are the ones that need my attention and I hope that in my next Squidoo energy burst, I'll do just that.

I have a lens in the Tier One Challenge - October 2010

Benefits of participating in the Squid Forum

I was trolling the SquidU Forum late one night when I read a post by LindaJM called "The Tier One Challenge."

Here's a new challenge... and anyone can play the game.
Choose ONE lens that has never made it into Tier Two... in other words, the highest lensrank ever must be under 10000.
The challenge is to do everything you can to get that lens into Tier ONE.
Ready? Set?................ PLAY!
To start, post your ONE lens here, and the current lensrank, and the highest lensrank ever.
Keep track of your lensranks here, and share ideas on lens improvements. Help everyone else out. (It is the Squidoo way of doing things.)

I double-checked the date and time of the challenge to make sure it was new and if I had a shot at it.
A few lensmasters had already submitted theirs so I thought, what the heck, why not submit one of mine.
So I found one that had never made it to Tier 2 and posted it in the forum. I'll be posting updates there, but to give you an idea of the numbers, when I entered the challenge this lens' rank was 83,146. Its best-ever rank was 43,754. In just two days since the challenge began, its lensrank has improved and sits at 40,858.

***Keep in mind that the lower the number, the better the rank.

I'm so exited that my participation in the Forum has led to this: more publicity for my lens, 40+ Things My Husband Does Right I'm so glad that it's a lens I like working on and helps me keep positive thoughts about my husband. You can help me improve the rank by: liking it, sharing it, leaving a comment, and coming back to see how many more things my husband does right!

The second lens I listed is the one that will be chronicling progress made by the first twenty five Lensmasters who have accepted the challenge.

Music I listen to while creating lenses

Sometimes, I need complete silence or else I can't concentrate. For example, when I'm working with html and moving things around the page, I need silence. Even when I'm ready for background music, I do have some favorites. Here they are:
