Jonas Brothers by the Jonas Brothers
The latest album from the Jonas Brothers
To parents, they're the new Hanson. To kids who've been tuning into Radio Disney and flipping the pages of Tiger Beat, they're geniuses.
Jonas Brothers, the sophomore effort from the close-knit, close-up ready trio of New Jersey boys, is a mercilessly catchy collection of short but sweet punk- and emo-flavored confections. "Goodnight and Goodbye" grabs hold with guitar-fueled urgency, "Still in Love" borrows from old-school acts like KISS to build a slighter, kid-friendlier brand of classic rock, and "Games" has a respectable go at ska without sacrificing much in the way of pure-pop accessibility. The whole disc follows suit--a couple of ballads slide in ("Hello Beautiful" is a pretty one), but the brothers don't do much to dispel the idea that for them, uptempo ditties are where it's at.
Twelve-year-olds, take note: CDVU+, the new format pioneered by Disney, takes cuteness into account; because this disc is configured with bonus material, photos and posters of Nick, Kevin, and Joe are just clicks away. -- Tammy La Gorce

Jonas Brothers - It's About Time
The first album by the Jonas Brothers
This is one very enthousiastic young listeners verdict:
After listening to Mandy, I fell in love with the Jonas Brothers. They're music is so hyper and great to sing to. I love how they wrote most of the songs and they play their own instruments. Now I'm going to rate each song:
1. What I Go To School For - 10/10 - Great song. I can relate to having a crush on someone in a higher grade than me.
2. Time For Me To Fly - One MILLION/10! - Awesome song. My fave song on the CD. It's so inspirational. Nick's voice is so beautiful and I fid myself singing along with him every time.
3. Year 3000 - One MILLION/10! - Awesome remake! I like how they changed the words so it sounds less perverted. It's so fun to sing along with.
4. One Day At A Time - 10/10 - Heartbreaking. But great.
5. 6 Minutes - 100/10! - I love this song! I like the Caribbean sort of beat to it.
6. Mandy - One MILLION/10! - Who doesn't love Mandy? This song is so infectious and has me jumping around the whole time.
7. You Just Don't Know It - 10/10 - I can so relate to this song. Having a crush on someone who doesn't even realize you're there.
8. I Am What I Am - 100/10! - I love this song! It's about being yourself and don't change for anyone. The guitars on this song rock.
9. Underdog - One MILLION/10! - Great song! I love how fast the rhythm is and the lyrics are great to. I can really relate to this song.
10. 7:05 - 1000/10! - I really like this song. Nick's vocals are AWESOME.
11. Please Be Mine - 10/10 - Great song. I love the acoustic guitar.
So, in conclusion, BUY THIS ALBUM! You won't regret a minute of it. -- Joseph S. Kennedy - "Joseph's daughter"

Bonus Jonas Time
Meet the Robinsons
With one song of the Jonas Brothers
Disney's animated adventure may be driven by themes of futuristic time traveling, but its musical score is a delightful, pop-driven hybrid that turns on decidedly back-to-the-future sensibilities.
Rob Thomas' hook-rich single "Little Wonders" and the All-American Rejects' collaboration with Danny Elfman "The Future Has Arrived" give the collection an immediate contemporary edge. But just as winning are disparate pop performances from Rufus Wainwright (the Nilsson-esque opening gem "Another Believer" and lilting "Motion Waltz"), while nouveau UK crooner Jamie Cullum turns in a swinging, piano jazz take on Wainwright's "Where Is Your Heart At?" as well as an inviting cover of "The Simple Life" in the same vein.
Elfman's orchestral score returns him to the vibrant milieu of his early Tim Burton collaborations, supercharged here by a manic energy that seems equal parts Simpsons, Bernard Herrmann and Carl Stalling. Bringing the collection full circle is a big-band cover of Disney's vintage "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" theme performed with loopy big-band charm by They Might Be Giants and the Jonas Brothers more disposable Kim Wilde update, "Kids of the Future." --Jerry McCulley

Jonas Brothers Lyrics - S.O.S.
Told you I needed you
You and me and no one else
It's all because your girly friends
Well I'm done
With awkward situation's empty conversations
Oohh This is an S.O.S.
Don't wanna second guess,
This is the bottom line
It's true
I gave my all for you,
now my heart's in two
And I can't find the other half
It's like I'm walking on broken glass,
better believe I bled
It's a call I'll never get
So this is where the story ends
A conversation on IM
Well I'm done
That's it,
Sorry for the miscommunication
Oohh This is an S.O.S.
Don't wanna second guess,
This is the bottom line
It's true
I gave my all for you,
now my heart's in two
And I can't find the other half
It's like I'm walking on broken glass,
better believe I bled
It's a call I'll never get
Next time I'll see you
I'm giving you a high five
It's not too over rated, just FYI
Oohh This is an S.O.S.
Don't wanna second guess,
This is the bottom line
It's true
I gave my all for you,
now my heart's in two
(yeah)
