This is what made me love Jonathan Crombie as an actor. He stars as Gilbert Blythe, Anne Shirley's love interest. Their relationship is pretty rocky to begin with as Gilbert calls her 'Carrots' and teases her. And she pretends to hate him at times. I just wanted them to get together! I hated when Anne got together with the old guy in the sequel as Anne & Gilbert were meant to be together.
