Pop Idol winner
Jordin has auditioned for the American Juniors and Star Search in 2003 before appearing in America's Most Talented Kids twice in 2004 and winning in her first appearance. She was one of seven to appear in a special championship edition of the show. She also appeared on American Idol on January 17, 2007, earning a gold ticket to appear in Hollywood and the so-called "fan" nickname "Ugly Betty." Some pundits have already named her a favorite to win the contest, hinted at by American Idol judge Randy Jackson's prediction that "Curly hair will win this year." (read more)

You want something that hugs you in all the right places - just not too much, where it's too tight and you're hanging out all over!"
Accentuate the positive. "I have a tiny waist in proportion to the rest of my body, so I like to wear corsety things that hug my waist."
Choose dark jeans. "Darker types slim your legs down. A lighter wash jean makes everything look bigger."
Watch your necklines. "V-necks give you an elongated neck. A crew neck can look like it's choking you!"
Keep jewelry small. "Dainty necklaces are nice. Chunky ones cut (your figure) up - no chokers."

Hollywood's obsession with body size has been weighing on my mind for a while. Last week, newsman Neil Cavuto wasted airtime on MeMe Roth, founder of National Action Against Obesity and organizer of the Wedding Gown Challenge, which exhorts women to prove they can still fit their bridal dresses. According to Roth, Jordin's weight makes her a poor role model and she fears kids will want to be like her. "When I look at Jordin ... I see diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol," Roth said. "She is the picture of unhealth."
