Joseph Henschel is no stranger to making great rock or contemporary flavored worship and praise music. He spent several years touring on mission trips through America, Europe, and Russia with his band Farewell Down when he felt the call to record a solo worship effort.

His critically acclaimed 2008 release "Capture Me" showed his gifting as a worship leader and songwriter. Now with the release of "At The Edge Of Imperfection" his second solo worship CD, we see a more personal and introspective side to his talents.

"At The Edge Of Imperfection" is 11 tracks of lush melodic and heartfelt songs in the same vein as Chris Tomlin, Coldplay, Hillsong United and Phil Wickham. Songs like "Born To Love You" and "I Will Not Be Silent" really hits home with our need to call upon something greater than ourselves to find peace and healing in our lives. With lyrics like "Your love is all I ever needed, your grace has defeated all my shame, you call me by name" in the song "Awake The Day" it shows the freedom so many long for from our past.

Overall this CD is a great mix of ballads and up tempo songs with a great blend of contemporary worship feel and most with more of a light rock influence. "At The Edge Of Imperfection" is definitely a very personal record charting Joseph Henschel's own trials and personal growth as an artist over the last couple years. It's a great record that will speak into the listener's life as well as sooth for times of personal meditation and worship.

I guess I could sit here all day and tell you how great, well produced and written these songs are, but you will need to experience "At The Edge Of Imperfection" for yourself to decide.

(SAN DIEGO, CA) February 7, 2011--San Diego based singer/songwriter Joseph Henschel announced a follow up to his critically acclaimed debut album, Capture Me, with the release of At The Edge Of Imperfection. Henschel, former lead singer for Farewell Down, is a seasoned worship music creator, equipped with a passionate worship leader's heart, which is evident throughout this new collection of songs. With the release of his second album Henschel not only showcases his gifts for songwriting and unique musicianship, but At The Edge Of Imperfection also highlights his talents behind the board within engineering and production. Stepping out on his own was an innovative step for Henschel and he certainly weaved himself throughout all aspects of this new project, offering a glimpse into his heart and his ultimate desire to come before the Lord in worship.

Intertwined within the album are stories of how great our God is seen through songs like 'Great I Am' and 'I Will Not Be Silent'. At The Edge Of Imperfection is different from Capture Me in that it is a concept record and Capture Me is a congregational worship experience where every song has a purpose and meaning of its own."

Henschel grew up in the church, the son of a pastor at Calvary Chapel, Vista, and accepted Christ as his personal savior in the 8th grade. After ingesting a steady diet of Switchfoot, Jimmy Eat World, and Coldplay music, Henschel was inspired to make his own rock music. But these days, folks like Brenton Brown, Jon Forman, and Hillsong United have fueled Henschel's mission to make personalized worship music. Over the past seven years he has had the opportunity to play at hundreds of churches in the United States and all over the world traveling to countries such as England, Scotland, Russia, Hungary, Germany, France and Africa.

God called Joseph Henschel to a life of worship at a tender age and has been faithful to continue the good work He started. Now, with the release of At the Edge Of Imperfection, it is Henschel's desire that God will lovingly capture many more souls for the kingdom.
