Who is Josh Hamilton?
Josh Hamilton is one of the best stories in Major League Baseball not only this season, but of all time. Hamilton was the #1 overall pick by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 1999, but in 2001 his career was cut short by drug addiction. In 2007, Hamilton made his MLB debut with the Cincinnati Reds and was traded to the Texas Rangers in the off-season. In 2008, Hamilton received the most fan votes for an outfielder in the American League All-Star team balloting and also participated in the Home Run Derby, hitting a record 28 home runs in the first round.
