My Journey To Become A Giant Squid

I had made a few lenses and was starting to get comfortable with Squidoo, when I got an email asking me to watch for more information on the Rocketmoms. So, I wondered what it was and why should I watch. My next email said. You may join Rocket moms if you want to. OK I'll bite. I went and joined, not knowing what to expect.But what I found was the most amazing ladies and help I could ever ask for. I was given an asssignent each week. (I have never been great with assignments) but I manged to do them. I was so proud to get each lens done and be able to show them to all the other Rocketmoms.

I got a message from JustBon-Crochet-Designs. She told me I had some quality lenses and I should try for Giant squid and join her team. Well I decided to try it even though I only had about 20 lenses. I signed up but after I read the rules I was scared I wouldn't make it. I thought I had to come up with 50 fresh lenses by end of June. I only had two months to do 50 lenses. (Thats what I thought) I didn't know my 20 some lenses counted. Well I did try, but in those two months I only made about 15 more lenses. So, I figured I would do the next challenge.

This part took me to the second giant squid challenge. I signed up with Joan (Jolly Judicious Jetsetters-2) who assigned me a great coach, Ohme. I had so much fun and so much encouragement from both Joan and Ohme. I was always so afraid that my lenses weren't giant material but they kept me going and helped me to feel like I was good enough. So, two weeks before the end of the challenge I had over 60 lenses. By the end of the challenge I had 62 lenses published. I applied and waited. Like everyone else, I waited
Finally on October 5th I got "The Email" It said "Congratulations, you have made it to Giant" I was so happy I nearly cried. I feel so honored and lucky to be chosen. I went to every forum and ning i could find and thanked everyone . I think they probably got tired of seeing me thanking them over and over again. But I couldn't help it.

Now I am a Giant. Next up is Giant 100.

Ok, so what is next? Giant 100 and angelhood. Those are my next two goals. Not necessarily in that order mind you. I have already applied to be an angel.

By the way after I received the email notifying me of being a giant i got another email. You have been rewarded a purple star. Oh my goodness!!!! All in the same day? Wowie!. I am not sure my heart can take all this good news. I feel like I just won the lottery. lol

So, off to my next goals and my Squidoo journey will continue!
