Joyce Meyer Battlefield Of The Mind Review
Before we get to the review of Battlefield of the Mind, by Joyce Meyer, let me begin by saying that the author of this truly insightful book is one amazing lady. In this easy to read and understand book, she explains how the mind is a battlefield and then she lays out the best battle plans to win the war.
Not only is Joyce Meyer a New York Times bestselling author, with over 80 Christian books published, she is also the founder and head of Joyce Meyer Ministries .
Through Joyce Meyer Ministries , she has taught and helped millions of people become closer to God and overcome everyday troubles and hardships.
Some of the relief and assistance the Joyce Meyer ministry provides include; Feeding Iraqi Refugees, Providing Tornado Relief in the U.S., and Helping Japan Recover. All of this is done with the intent to open doors so that God's message can be shared and the spiritual needs of his children, met.
I only bring that up to point out that Joyce Meyer is a whole lot more than some two-bit hack televangelist, who wrote a book. She preaches what she believes and lives what she preaches.
Now let's get back to the Battlefield of the Mind (Joyce Meyer) book review...

I Am Not A Big Joyce Meyer Fan
As I was saying, Joyce Meyer is an amazing lady, but I must admit, I am not a big Joyce Meyer fan. I tell you that, so I can tell you this... My simple review of Battlefield of the Mind is not made by some crazed fan who thinks Joyce Meyer is the best thing since Martin Luther.
Now it is not my intent to tick off all of those die hard Joyce Meyer fans out there, but you have to admit, there are some Joyce Meyer groupies out there who think that Joice could walk on water if she wanted to. I am not one of those people.
Instead, I am the type of guy who would not know who Joyce Meyer was, except for the fact that my wife kept coming to me saying things like, "Joyce Meyer said this today..." or something along the lines of, " When Doug (our pastor) talked about this, it made no sense to me. But now, after Joyce explained it, it does".
Just about every time I turned around, my wonderful wife was telling me how Joyce Meyer once again was able to break down and explain the Bible and its lessons in such a way that she could understand.
In no way do I mean to infer that my wife is slow on the uptake. Quit the contrary, she is a very intelligent and insightful women. What I am saying is that when it comes to the bible, and how it applies to ones life, it can be a little ambiguous, if not down right confusing.
With all the Joyce Meyer quotations my wife tossed at me day after day, I figured that this Joyce lady must be worth a read. So after my wife finally put down the Battlefield of the Mind, I gave it a read. And what I read, did impress me.
Joyce Meyer has a way of making the bibles complex messages, simple. Converting the living Word from ambiguous, to obvious. Things that I would never have understood or comprehended in a million years of reading the Word, Joyce pointed out with ease.

Joyce Can Really Break It Down
Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about by taking a snippet out of her book, Battlefield of the Mind...
"Deuteronomy 1:6-8
In Deuteronomy 1:2, Moses pointed out to the Israelites that it was only an eleven-day journey to the border of Canaan (the Promised Land), yet it had taken them forty years to get there. Then in verse 6, he told them, "The Lord God says to us, 'You have dwelt long enough on this mountain.'"
Have you dwelt long enough on the same mountain? Have you spent forty years trying to make an eleven-day trip?
In my own life, I finally had to wake up and realize that I was going nowhere. I was a Christian without victory...
I had been at the same mountain long enough. I had spent forty years making what could have been a much shorter journey had I known the truth of God's Word."
Battlefield of the Mind, Joyce Meyer P. 35-36
For many of us to simply read God's Word, 'You have dwelt long enough on this mountain.'" we would simply think that He is speaking only to the Israelites and that He is telling them that it is time for them to once again pack up and move. But it took Joyce only two lines to point out that it was not a physical place He is talking about moving from, but a move of mind and heart that s truly needed.
Taking the complex and making it simple is a true gift, and Joyce is a master. Battlefield of the Mind is slap full of beautiful insights such as this.
Though I did not list this book on my Top 10 Best Ever Self Help Books lens, it is worth the read. And, when I do make a list of my favorite Christian Self Help Books, it is sure to be in the top three.
I hope you enjoyed this review of Battlefield of the Mind, as unconventional as it was.
May God Bless You In All That You Do. And May All That You Do Glorify God.

- This is perhaps Joyce's best book in my opinion. It was catapult to her ministry I believe. I'm glad you read it.
