About Dr. Joyce Teal

Dr. Teal knows about kids and the questions they ask.
A graduate of Prairie View A&M University with a degree in counseling, she has taught classes in Dallas, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Virginia and won the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1998.


Dr. Teal began writing professionally since 1993 and has had several award-winning poems published. Her first book, It's O.K. To Be Different, is now in its fourth printing with an expanded glossary and additional artwork.
