Biography of Joy Jolise
Joy Jolise moved to Hollywood following her passion for acting. Blessed with instant success, she has had the lead and supporting lead roles in three independent films. Joy has also done several commercials and has appeared in smash T.V. shows including: Desperate Housewives, Las Vegas, NYPD Blue, CSI New York and Raines. Working behind the microphone, Joy has done voice over work, most recently lending her voice to the animated film, Rosemarine. The film is expected to debut in Japan in late 2007.
To supplement her film and television work, Joy is a successful model, having appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers and billboards throughout the world. She presently models for high profile clients including: Nautica, Anne Cole and Babystyle.
While she continues launching her acting career in Hollywood, Joy is an active member in her community. Joy is the spokesperson for TeenSource.org, a web site dedicated to helping at risk youth run by the California Family Health Counsel (CFHS). She has also gives her time and skills to help raise money for Operation Smile and supports many other charitable causes.
Joy is a well rounded actress with passion for both comedy and drama.

A Special Moment
My beautiful mother sent me a gift of inspiration. It was a book that included the single "I hope you dance". It arrived one day in the mail and the timing couldn't have been better. As glamorous and fun as Hollywood can be, most don't realize the blood, sweat and tears that go along with everyday survival in LA! For every commercial I book, there are always 40 or 50 that reject me. You have to learn to stay confident and strong and roll with the punches in order to survive. I really admire survivors. It takes more strength to pull yourself up from the ground than it does to just keep walking through life unaffected and oblivious to others and the world around us. Remembering it's not how hard you fall, it's how high you bounce...is key!

Lobster, King Crab Legs, Shrimp...I'm in heaven! - Music plays a huge part of my life.
I love music. It really touches my soul and can completely alter the mood I'm in. I come from a very musical family. I love to sing and I can play the piano. - I love watching movies.
I really like action adventure films. But I do enjoy a diverse variety. The Fugitive, Shawshank Redemption, Legally Blonde, Carlitos Way, Capote, Dumb and Dumber, Scarface, The Departed are just a few of my all time favorite movies. - The ocean is my favorite escape.
It's so vast and peaceful and serene and yet it can also be very violent and tumultuous...just like life. I feel very close to God when I am looking at the ocean. - My favorite color is purple.
