My web design company, JT eDesigns, is a Platinum and Silver REMI award winner in the Digital Media Category in the 44th Annual Worldfest Houston International Film Festival, one of the largest and longest running film festivals. Past winners in film include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Oliver Stone, The Coen Brothers, Ridley Scott and many other notable individuals, along with Network winners such as ABC, Turner Broadcasting, PBS, and other networks and studios too numerous to mention.

This year over 25 nations and 700 film makers and networks were represented with over 7000 entries in film and digital media. JT eDesigns was honored with two awards for excellence in digital design, the highest possible award of Platinum REMI award for The Radicals Movie website, and the Silver REMI award for Riders of the Purple Sage movie website.

Visual web designers can create and produce stunning websites that are also fully functional and optimized for the web. Don't let the term "visual" allow you to think that because the site wasn't created through the use of various codes and scripts that it isn't indexed properly and that it isn't search-engine friendly. That's where the proper use of meta tags, image tags, page naming, Google verification code and other tricks come into the picture.

It is easy to achieve first page rankings on Google without "developing" a page from code, using outrageously epensive web creation software, or even submitting your site to a search engine to be indexed. Proper technical know-how in conjunction with creative designs gives you a powerful and functional website as well as one that is visually appealing.
