Juan Mann is perhaps better known to millions of YouTube Viewers as the "Free Hugs Guy." He has chosen to use the identity of "one man" and wants remain anonymous in his desire to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.
Juan Mann is originated the Free Hugs Campaign in 2004 which has become a global movement thanks to exposure on YouTube. It began as his attempt to make a difference by reaching out to others as a random act of kindness, a selfless act performed by a person for the sole reason of making others feel better.

The campaign is an example of a random act of kindness, a purportedly selfless act performed by a person for the sole reason of making others feel better. Although not claimed as such, The Free Hugs Campaign is an incarnation of the story told in a book by Claude Steiner "A Warm Fuzzy Tale". The story itself is an introduction to key concepts of transactional analysis (TA).
