How to Use the Pulp Leftover From a Juicer
Many people who follow the vegan or vegetarian lifestyle, or who are just trying to eat healthier, use juicers. Juicers are great small kitchen appliances and can make a really great and healthy meal or addition to a meal. The only problem that most people have with the juicer is that there seems to be a lot of leftover pulp. And it is such a waste to just throw all that goodness away.
So what do you do? There are many different ways to use that pulp or at least dispose of it in a way that is more beneficial than just sending it off to the garbage dump to decompose in a plastic back and take up more of our precious space on this planet.

Save that Pulp and
Use it in a variety of ways!
Do you ever avoid using your juicer because you hate to waste the pulp by throwing it out, but aren't quite sure what to do with it other than toss it? I'll admit, I've been guilty of doing just that thing. So with a little frustration I went on a hunt for ways to save that pulp from the garbage. And I'm not one to keep my discoveries to myself, I will gladly share with you, and I'm sure that's why you are here, to see just what it is that I discovered about the world of pulp from juicing. So what can you do with the left over pulp from your juicer?
If you already compost (or are thinking about starting) the quickest and easiest thing to do with your leftover pulp is to compost it. This will return that material to nutrients that other plants can use while growing. And if you are juicing fruits and vegetables that you are growing yourself, what better way to recycle these leftovers than to return them to the cycle?
Pulp from fruits can be added into cakes, muffins, and sweet breads for just a few ideas. I've even added some fruit pulps to oatmeal, berries and apple pulp are my favorites to do this with.
For the pulp from vegetables, some people throw it in the blender and blend it up to make a nice creamy thick vegetable soup. Pulp can be frozen to use for this purpose, but you will definitely want to use it soon since it is from fresh vegetables, so be sure to date your pulp if you are freezing it to ensure that you don't accidentally eat any that has gone bad.
There too many juicer pulp recipes to list here, but just to give you an idea leftover pulp can be used in pasta sauces, breads, muffins, soups, the list goes on. We found several Juicer Pulp Recipes check out the link on our lens for Juicer Recipes.
