1988 - P (Pamela Skaist-Levy) & G (Gela Nash-Taylor) meet & start a business designing maternity jeans

1997 - The line expands to include t-shirts. Company is incorporated.

March 1999 - G marries Duran Duran bassist, John Taylor.

November 1999 - Taylor & Simon Le Bon perform at launch party for Juicy's New York debut.

2001 - The Juicy Couture tracksuit debuts

2002 - Added collections for men & children

April 2003 - Purchased by Liz Claiborne, P&G remain co-CEO's.

November 2003 - Introduce line of handbags & accessories

February 2004 - Rebecca Blair from the Gucci Group becomes vice-president and general manager of merchandise & sales.

2004 - Bathing suits, shoes & jewelry lines added. Open first freestanding store, in Las Vegas, Nevada

2005 - Two more stores open in Dallas & Atlanta. Enter into licensing agreement with Movado Group, Inc. to create watches. P&G have a new line of Mattel Barbie dolls based on them.

2006 - Juicy line for infants is given the go-ahead.

P&G forged a unique style based on their own tastes. They insisted their clothing be fun, playful and what they referred to as "girly." They also believed that their T-shirts, jeans & tracksuits could serve as wardrobe staples, with which women could have, according to Jenny Rubinfield in Harper's Bazaar, "the freedom to incorporate any designer piece they desire." The look was referred to by some observers as "casual luxury" and others as "casual chic."
