Julia's last movie, Charlie Wilson's War , premiered December 25th 2007. The drama also stars Tom Hanks as Charlie Wilson, a Texas Congressman, who is attempting to help the rebels in Afghanistan in their war against the Soviet Union.Julia Roberts will also be starring in Fireflies in the Garden, due out in 2008. Fireflies is a drama centering on a family torn apart by tragedy. Julia Roberts plays Lisa Waechter, the film also stars Ryan Reynolds as Michael Waechter.
Still in early production is, The Friday Night Knitting Club, based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Jacobs. Julia Roberts plays Georgia Walker, one of a group of women who meet at a small knitting shop. The Friday Night Knitting Club, is due out in 2008
