This lens started as a top romantic comedy lens. Then it became a Julia Roberts top romantic comedy lens. There were other Julia Movies I love that were do not fall under the romantic comedy genre. So....it became The Top 10 Julia Roberts Movies. The top 10 are in no particular order, other than number one. Pretty Woman is my all time favorite movie, and it is the movie that skyrocketed Julia to fame. It has to be number one for so many reasons.
I hope you enjoy this lens as much as I enjoyed creating it. There are many more Julia movies than I could include in the top ten. Some of them are mentioned at the bottom of the page.

The Facts About Julia
Julia has appeared in over 30 films during her career, which has spanned 3 decades. Julia Roberts was born Julie Fiona Roberts, on October 28th 1967, in Smyrna Georgia. She is one of only a few female film stars to belong to the 20 million club. Meaning Julia has the power to command over 20 million per film.She has one Academy Award under her belt for the film Erin Brokovich. She also won a Golden Globe for her role in Pretty Woman, and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in Steel Magnolias.
Her small screen appearances include guest spots on Friends, Law & Order, and Miami Vice.

Charlie Wilson's War (Widescreen)
Julia's latest movie, Charlie Wilson's War is a drama which also stars Tom Hanks as Charlie Wilson, a Texas Congressman, who is attempting to help the rebels in Afghanistan in their war against the Soviet Union.
Julia Roberts latest movie was Fireflies in the Garden, which premiered in 2008. Fireflies is a drama centering on a family torn apart by tragedy. Julia Roberts plays Lisa Waechter, the film also stars Ryan Reynolds as Michael Waechter.
Still in early production is, The Friday Night Knitting Club, based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Jacobs. Julia Roberts plays Georgia Walker, one of a group of women who meet at a small knitting shop. The Friday Night Knitting Club, is due out in 2010.

This is my absolute favorite movie.
Tagline- She walked off the street, into his life and stole his heart.
Vivian (Julia Roberts) is a prostitute standing on the Hollywood Boulevard doing her job. Edward (Richard Gere) is a wealthy businessman lost in Los Angeles. He stops to ask for directions, and Vivian hops in his car to show him the way. Edward is captivated by Vivian and decides to hire her to escort him to his social engagements while he is in town. The business arrangement turns into romance by the end of the week, but will it end in a broken heart?

It's been a while since I have watched this one, so I had to give it another view while I was creating this lens.
William Thacker (Hugh Grant) is a successful bookstore owner. Then Anna Scot (Julia Roberts), a super star actress enters his store and his life. They meet again over spilled orange juice, and when Anna comes to William's apartment to change they share a quick kiss that surprises both of them.
William soon finds out that dating the rich and famous has many obstacles. What is it like to fall in love with the whole world watching your every move?

The whole town is predicting her next departure, and poking fun of Maggie. Ike becomes defensive of Maggie, and defends her from the gossip.

When her friend calls to tell her he is getting married, and to ask her to be in the wedding, Julianne becomes jealous. She does everything she can to break the couple apart before the wedding.

Julia joins an all star cast for both of these movies, including George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Andy Garcia.
In Ocean's Eleven, Danny Ocean (George Clooney) gathers accomplices to rob three Las Vegas casinos at the same time.
In Ocean's Twelve the gang is back for the sequel. Danny gathers the group together for a series of three heists in Europe.

The toxic waste was poisoning the residents. Erin started digging and uncovered the truth. Eventually involving the lawfirm she worked for in one of the largest class action law suits ever filed.

Forward thinking and contemporary Katherine Watson (Julia Roberts) scores a job at Wellesley College as an Art History professor, in the 1950's. Katherine comes up against the mentality that the only purpose for an education is to marry well, become the perfect wife, and have babies.
Watson dares to try to change things, and comes up against Elizabeth "Betty" Warren (Kirsten Dunst), who can be very evil and conniving when things are not going her way. Betty gets her wish when she is married to what is in her mind the perfect man. Betty then finds out that all things are not as rosy as she would like them to be.
Another student Joan Brandwyn (Julia Styles), secretly wishes to be a lawyer. She also wants to marry and settle down. In the end her choice is not what Katherine was hoping for her, but it is the choice that gives Joan the most satisfaction.
A beautiful movie with some great stars pulling off some wonderful moments.

- How could you not be a Julia Roberts fan? I enjoy her performances even when I may not particularly like the movie as a whole; but well, anyway most of the movies she's been in are really good movies. What I like most about Julia Roberts though is that, besides being a great actress, she seems to be a genuinely nice person.
