Welcome to my lens

Apparently it is time for the obligatory calling card lens.

I am quite a fan of Squidoo, so I intend to use this lens as a jumping off place for all things me. We shall see how it goes.

One of my favorite things about Squidoo, is the option to give your proceeds to charity. I worked to setup Ferrets Unlimited Rescue Services as a Squidoo charity. I served as communications director and one of the founding board members for this organization.

One lensmaster may not generate that much money on their own, but the collective voice of thousands of lenses can do a lot of good. Please consider creating your own charity lens, too.

I Love Vegetarian Food

I absolutely love cooking! I'm very passionate about the vegetarian lifestyle and love creating healthy and delicious dishes for friends and family.

I also love the hugs and kisses that I get when I cook a great meal for my family. They are great at showing their appreciation for my cooking.

I love sharing my recipes on Squidoo. The format is really nice for sharing recipes and printing them out for later use.

I've been a lensmaster since October 26, 2005 and celebrated my 5 year Squidversary last year!

I Love Squidoo Groups, too

I enjoyed managing Squidoo groups

I created and managed over a dozen groups when they were developed by Squidoo. Unfortunately, they decided to stop supporting them and converted the groups to regular lenses. I still try to maintain my group lenses as a way to highlight great lenses in their respective categories.

My Birthday Wish

I Donated My Birthday to Charity
Volunteering and donating to charity is my passion and the ferrets need our help more than I need gifts. 45 was a milestone birthday and it meant so much to me to know that I inspired people to donate to charity for my 45th birthday. Some people even created their own charity lenses, as well.

P.S. If you can't make a donation to charity, please create a Squidoo lens and select Ferrets Unlimited as the charity to receive at least part of the proceeds. I'll love you for it!
