I believe that Julie Walters is one of Britains finest comediennes and actresses. I have been a fan since her early days when she collaborated with Victoria Wood.

The true story of Dr Anne Turner
Anne's thoughts were that once her illness had reached a critical point, she would take her own life. Initially her children were against the idea but eventually they agreed to support her, even though it pulls them further apar and threatens to tear the family to piecest.
Anne must also face the wrath of best friend Claire, who has opposing views on her assisted suicide, bringing them into direct and vocal conflict.
Whilst being a very moving and touching drama, which will almost certainly bring a tear to your eye, it also has a somewhat dark humor about it which, combined with Julies brilliant portrayal of Anne Turner, makes A Short Stay In Switzerland highly engrossing.
