Julie Andrews, a Charming Personality

Julia Elizabeth Wells was born on 1 of October 1935 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom.
She studied at Cone-Ripman School, an arts educational school in London, and then with the famous concert soprano and voice instructor Lilian Stiles-Allen. She continued her academic education at the Woodbrook School, a local state school in Beckenham.
In 1947 Julie Andrews made her professional solo debut singing the aria "Je Suis Titania" from Mignon at the London Hippodrome.
In 1959 Andrews married Tony Walton but the couple divorced in 1967.
In 1969 she married Blake Edwards and they have four children:Jennifer, Geoffrey, Amy and Emma.

In 1972 she appeared in "The Julie Andrews Hour" , on the ABC network.
In 1983 the role Victoria Grant from "Victor/Victoria "film earned Julie Andrews the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy
In 1991 - 2000 she starred in a television sitcom and "at the Manhattan Theatre Club, of the American premiere of Stephen Sondheim's revue, "Putting It Together".

This picture is from Princess Diaries 2 (2001) and you can see Julie Andrews in role of Queen Clarisse Renaldi. In this film she sang for the first time since her throat surgery ( in 1998 she suffered a throat surgery and she couldn't sing until 2001). She is a lovely person!

Anthony John Walton was born on 24 October 1934 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey,UK and he is a director, set designer, costume designer.
In 1948 he began his career with the stage design for Noel Coward's Broadway production of Conversation Piece.
In 1950 - 1960 he designed for the New York and London stage and in 1964 he worked as a costume designer and visual consultant for Mary Poppins for which he received an Oscar nomination.
His awards include an Oscar for All That Jazz in 1980 and an Emmy for the acclaimed 1985 TV version of Death of a Salesman. He has received many Oscar, Emmy and other nominations, including BAFTA nominations for costume and set design for Murder on the Orient Express in 1975
