Soap Legend Julie Goodyear

Julie Goodyear is an English actress best known for her portrayal of barmaid Bet Lynch is long running UK soap Coronation Street. Goodyear intially appeared in Coronation Street in 1966 but left and her character did not become a street regular until 1970. Julie Goodyear remained in Coronation Street until 1995, though she did return briefly in 2002 and 2003. Since leaving Coronation Street Goodyear has appeared in pantomime, on several reality shows and adverts. She was awarded the MBE in 1996 for services to television and drama.
