Internet Marketing is Too Hard and WAYYY Too Complicated!

Wow, if I had a dime each time someone told me that internet marketing is too hard or too complicated, I would be an extremely rich woman!


Here's the thing - any time we attempt to learn something new it always appears to be "too hard" or "too complicated" at first try.  Remember the first time training wheels were taken off your bike as a kid?  I sure do!  Riding a bike without training wheels seemed too hard - but I was determined to learn and was willing to crash over and over until I figured it out (and I've got the scars to prove it!).

So, let's talk about internet marketing and keep it simple =)

The Basics of Internet Marketing

In a nutshell, here are the basics of internet marketing:

1. Make a web page
2. Get people to find and come to your web page

That's it...really.

Thing is, internet marketing goes from "simple" to "complicated" once you try and learn how to do the above two steps better.

Why?

Because there is SO much conflicting info out there. Also, it seems that no one give a direct and COMPLETE answer for the simple way to accomplish step one and step two.

At this point, many people give up in frustration and then tell me it was "too hard" and/or "too complicated".

How can we stop this from happening?

The "secret" to internet marketing is to Keep It Simple, Sweetie!

If you are reading so much and making yourself more confused and more frustrated - STOP IT.

Go back to your basics - make a web page, get people TO your web page.

All you really need to do is make one web page (perhaps a Squidoo lens?) and then write articles at EzineArticles.com or your favorite article directory to help get people TO your web page. The more articles you write, the more people you get.

SEO, keyword research, conversions, PPC, stats tracking, and alllll that other stuff will come in good time.

For now, make a web page and get people TO your web page.

Over-complication can be fatal ;)
