HERE'S WHAT I THINK
Is the movie Juno the best movie of the year? I watched the DVD and thought it was okay but not that great. The DVD box quotes Roger Ebert saying Juno is "The Best Movie of the Year"
As far as Oscars go, Juno was up for Best Picture but didn't win. However, it did win an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay of 2007.
I don't care about the Oscars--I want to know what you think about Juno!

Juno was pretty overrated. Definitely not the best movie of the year.
Knocked Up was better than this one and deserves the title of best movie of the year if any comedy does.

Juno suffered from the hype - any viewer who watched with an open mind and no expectations was pleasantly surprised to find him or herself still thinking about the flick three days later. Ironically, the new Canadian movie The Stone Angel, which also features performances by Ellen Page and promises to be another cinema classic, will probably go completely unnoticed and suffer from a complete lack of hype.
