What is Jzone?

Jzone, or Jesus Zone, is an area characterized with Jesus Christ being the NUMBER 1 PRIORITY. When a person commits his/her thoughts, words, actions, and whole body to Jesus Christ, that person becomes a Jzone.

Then, the expansion begins! That person starts reaching out to others so that these people can commit to Jesus Christ too, and make themselves into their own Jzones.

Furthermore, when these "Jzoner" gather together, that area becomes a Jzone. It is our utmost vision and prayer to make families, relatives, barkadas, neighbors, schools, cities, provinces, and eventually the whole country into one big Jzone!

J for Jesus

Jzone - The Revolution Begins

by Isa Garcia

There is a vision that awaits us, and that vision is to turn this entire nation into one whole JZONE.

Impossible? I don't think so.

Let's break down into the basics. What is this "JZONE"?

A JZONE, simply put, is a JESUS ZONE -- a sacred area where faithful children of God converge and worship together to glorify Jesus Christ, the Almighty Redeemer. CCF (Christ's Commission Fellowship) should not be thought of as and is not the only JZONE in the world.

Here's the brilliant part: a JZONE expands. It is not limited to the the four corners of a room. When you share the gospel to your friends in school, then your classroom becomes a JZONE. When you speak of Jesus Christ in your home, at your workplace or even in the mall, you immediately begin a JZONE. And it can grow. To touch millions upon millions. Soon enough, a nation, and later on, the world.

But it all starts with a single stepping stone: YOU. It doesn't matter who you are. It doesn't matter how smart you are or what kind of family you have. The only thing required is your heart and your willingness to ignite this vision into life. The human will. You may have heard of it before and you may be hearing it again. You may be tired of the old, the humdrum. But really, how far are you willing to go for Jesus?

Perhaps you're afraid to make such a great commitment. Or maybe your past is holding you back. You may be reading this, shaking your head in utter boredom. But whether you like it or not: God is going to use you. In great ways.

The time to work for God is now.

So take a deep breath. Examine yourself. If your heart is yearning to touch lives, if your soul seeks to glorify God, if you long to be a blessing to others even though the chances of failure are great, if you're ready to make one of the biggest decisions of your life -- then welcome to the JZONE revolution.

You have just made that vision come to life.

On Being in a D-group

by Michelle Obligacion

As different Jzoners band together to form the body of Christ, it is also wise that we break up into smaller groups for a practical purpose - and that is to grow or mature in the faith by being accountable to or for the other members in your group.

For a Discipleship Group (or D-group) to accomplish the purpose for which it is intended, there are core values which you need to have with your fellow D-group members.

C ONFIDENTIALITY
Stories and personal matters are shared in a D-group. Don't gossip about fellow members and make sure that what is shared in the D-group stays in the D-group.

H ONESTY
Share your concerns to the D-group. Do not hide anything. Be humble, transparent and open to your D-group leader and fellow members.

R ESPECT
Different personalities make up a D-Group. Respect your D-group members by attending meetings regularly and punctually. Honor the authority of your D-group leader and area pastor.

I NTERCESSIONS
Know your D-group's concerns and prayer requests. Pray regularly for your D-group leader and members.

S PIRITUAL GROWTH
Do not use your D-group for purposes other than spiritual growth. Help each other and let God develop you into a mature Christian leader.

T IMOTHIES
Have it as your goal to eventually build your own D-group.

Just remember the acronym CHRIST. Being part of a D-group helps you. It lets you have strong relationships with people and helps you become more committed to each other as you are committed to Jesus Christ.

Reaching Out to the World

By Jerome S. Lim

"If we seek to find out why, with such millions of Christians, the real army of God that is fighting the host of darkness is so small, the only answer is lack of heart. The enthusiasm for the Kingdom is missing because we have so little enthusiasm for the King."

- Andrew Murray

Consider these:

His painstaking work of translating the Bible into forty languages and being a dedicated missionary to India for forty years gave William Carey renown as a missionary. But when he told his resolve in a meeting with other pastors and church leaders of England while still a young shoemaker craving full-time ministry service, one of them immediately arose and spat, "Young man, sit down! If God wanted to convert the heathen, he would do it without you."

Missionary to Burma Adoniran Judson's translating the Bible into Burmese cost him fourteen years-and two of his wives (one wife at a time) and children.

"God, send me to a station in that part of the field where the difficulties are the greatest and to all human appearance the most insurmountable." Tucking these words in his belt, Robert Morrison sailed as a missionary to China. Twenty-five austere years of ministry brought him just twelve new Christians. (Imagine, one Christian every two years!) After his death, only three Christians dotting China's face were known.

Hudson Taylor's radical mind changed the way missions were done. His zeal to reach the Chinese led him to look, act, and speak like the Chinese. He was also able to mobilize six thousand more missionaries to China. He had his own shelf of difficulty though when some tribes chased him out of town more than once after he introduced Western Medicine.

What's the point? Being a missionary is never easy. They leave their families, their homes, and their careers to go down the rough, barren road where the hours are long, the work is hard, the pay is low, and the result is scarce.

Yet what possessed these men to descend to such destitute conditions from the comfort of their first-world homes? Like Isaiah who cried out, "Here I am! Send me!" these men were able to echo Isaiah's words because they beheld the glory of God, because God's Spirit moved them. They served the kingdom because they saw the King.

But...

Satan also threatens to bury them in the fields and devour them in his maw. That's why God calls us to help missionaries shoulder the load of gleaning the harvest by going-if God so wills us-to missions ourselves. Or to support those who do by prayer and giving. Or to walk the extra mile by mobilizing others to go. God may not call us to do all four, but He calls us to commit to at least one. Will you just sit this one out, look back one day and regret the whole thing? Or will you respond to the call, look back from Heaven one day and say, "The effort was well worth it."?

So, which is it for you?

Project S.C.H.O.O.L

Saving Colleges and Highschools Of Our Land

Have you ever wondered how your school can become a J-zone? We used to think of ways how to reach out to our schoolmates and help them know about God. Well, no need to worry, because here comes PROJECT S.C.H.O.O.L. (Saving Colleges and Highschools Of Our Land). Let's find out from these J-zoners how they feel about it and in what ways it can help students on their schooling:

Jc Yu: "It would help the students know what they are studying for and know more about God and His character."

Sharon Whelchel: "I think it's a great idea. It will be a more effective way to reach students and help them to GROW, not just hear about God."

Aoo Felipe: "Project S.C.H.O.O.L. is the biggest sojourn we are yet to take in winning souls to Christ's side. It will help students focus and discipline themselves on serving God as well as do well in their studies by training them through the '3-track-attack!' They'll learn discipline through the study of God's word."

Barby Tan: "I think it's a great project. It can help Christian students share their faith and it can help their classmates have one."

Mikko Santos: "For many years, we think of ways on how we can minister to our friends or our school. Sometimes, we feel unequipped or inadequate. But NOW is the right time to go for it, because Project S.C.H.O.O.L. is here to help and equip us all."

Jayme Jacob: "I feel great about it, it will help students to know God more and more."

Isn't it great to be a one big J-zone in your school? Where everybody knows about the Lord and everybody is saved? Make it your goal to share God's love to your schoolmates by being part of PROJECT S.C.H.O.O.L.
