Summertime Cookies (The Ultimate in Comfort Food)
An A-Number-One Genuine-Article Old Family Recipe. Great to make in the summertime because you don't have to bake'em.
1 stick butter
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Bring butter, sugar, cocoa, and milk to a boil and cook 1 minute. Stir in oats, peanut butter, and vanilla. Drop onto waxed paper and chill. (Or pour it all in a pan and call it "Summertime Fudge"!)
Yield: 2 dozen
