If you visit the website Kabam you will see a series of online text base games. One of their feature game is "The God father: five families". the story goes like this

"It's 1935: ten years before the events of The Godfather film. New York's Five Families are engaged in an all-out war for supremacy. The war is heating up and smaller gangs are under pressure to join one of the Families . . . or die. Your father's brutal injury leaves him unable to lead your family - leaving it up to you. You must take charge and keep your family's criminal organization alive.

Join one of the Five Families: put together a crew of deadly, street tested wiseguys. Rise through the ranks and build your own criminal empire, one bloody brick at a time. It takes ruthless cunning to survive on these bullet riddled streets. Intimidate and collect from your neighbors. "Go to the mattresses" with better weapons, skills, and equipment. Crush your rivals, and, above all, protect the Family.

Only one player in a Family will have what it takes to become its Don . . . the Godfather. Is it you?"

You have to pick among five families to join.

5)Phillip Tattaglia

After you pick which family to join, you will start building your empire.

Game play

When you sign up for this site, you will be able to play for free. The game is base on a real time system. Meaning that everything you do in the game is base on real time. For example, if you build a building, it will take 8 secs to build an apt. The higher the level of a building will depend on how long it will take you to build it. A level 10 apartment may take 15 minutes to build. So after 15 minutes have gone by you can build another building. There are research that you can do to improve the rate that you build and train units. So basically when you reach a high level. You can build one building that might take a whole day (24 hours). So the game play is really slow, there are cards that you can buy to speed up the process. Which will allow you to shorten the build time to build more building and to expend your control.

The goal is to be the don basically. How do you achieve this goal? by building up your estate and beating other players. You have to build an army and attack other players, gangs or cityscape. The problem with this is that it takes a lot of time to build up a massive army. Once you have a massive army, you can send them out and attack your enemy. You have to plan out your attacks because some time your crew might be at war with another crew. So you and your crew members can plan together and attack the enemy. Once again the only problem with this is that it is base on real time. So if the enemy estate is really far from your estate than it may take hours to reach them and attack them. There are a lot of other players surround you, so it will take less time for you to attack them. As of right now when you attack someone, don't expect to see a gun fight with cool special effects. Once your army reach the enemy, you will get an email telling you who won the fight that's it. Overall this game is time consuming and fun if you are patience enough.
