The world is a better place as a result of Kahlo's artistic contributions.

This painting, created by Frida Kahlo, was taken from "Mark Harden's Artchive" which is a wonderful resource for artists and art collectors. This particular self-portrait was created in 1947 and is entitled, "Self-Portrait with Loose Hair."

This painting is called,"Self-Portrait with Monkey" and was created in 1938 in oil on masonite. It measures 16 x 12 inches and is owned by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, in Buffalo, New York.

This lens is about Frida Kahlo's life and art. I admire Frida Kahlo greatly, as a person and artist.

She was a Mexican painter whose artwork speaks passion. Her art is emotionally-charged and very biographical.

I plan to add information about Diego Rivera, to this lens, since he was an extremely important person in Frida's life.
