The city has held back sprawl thanks to strategic placement of green space and hundreds of fountains (an echo of neighboring K.C., known as the City of Fountains). We lived in KC for 9 years and it's a great place to live. We've moved back to St.Louis but our son and family still live in KC so we get to visit often. I love the fountains, love Country Club Plaza...and really love the Christmas lights and how the make a big deal of it on Thanksgiving night. Crown Center is great too! Really good places to eat in KC.
