What Is Karaoke?
Japanese for "empty orchestra", karaoke is a form of entertainment found in bars, nightclubs, and company holiday parties around the world. Regular people get up and sing to popular songs by following the words on screen. While for many, karaoke is a past-time only enjoyed after a couple of drinks, the serious players practice their songs, turning them into a true performance, even winning prizes in local and national contests.
