Kareena Kapoor - Hot Feet Queen of India

Kareena Kapoor was born on September 21, 1980 in Mumbai to the now separated couple Babita and Randhir Kapoor. She was the second child to this bollywood couple of India. Her Sister, Karishma Kapoor, is also a well established actress and was the first female from the Kapoor family to make a career in Indian film industry. Kareena Kapoor followed the legacy and is now the highest paid actress of India. This has been possible because of her stunning looks, professional behavior and acting talent. She is not favorite just for her fans but also for most brands in India to get their products endorsed.

Kareena Kapoor, nicknamed as Bebo, is the daughter of the most famous and respected family in Bollywood, the Kapoor Family. She is the granddaughter of veteran actor Raj Kapoor and the great granddaughter of Prithviraj Kapoor, who was one of the first few renowned actors of bollywood. Her parents Babita and Randhir Kapoor are also known for their contribution to the Hindi film industry of India.

Initiating her education at the Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai, Kareena later joined the Welham Girls' Boarding School in Deheradun, which is one of the most reputed residential schools in India for school education. After completing her school education at Deheradun, she took a summer course on microcomputers and information technology at Harvard for three years. Later she joined the Government Law College at Churchgate. However, she did not completed the law course she joined and made her way back home to pick up acting as her career and joined Kishor Namit Kapoor school of acting which is a premier acting school in India.

To start with her career in acting, Kareena Kapoor was offered to debut with the film "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" which she happily accepted, but after a few initial days of shooting she changed her mind and left it for another film named "Refugee" opposite Abhishek Bachhan, son of the veteran Indian actor Mr. Amitabh Bachhan. Refugee was also the debut film for Abhishek. Although the film could not make it large at the box office, but Kareena still managed to gather appreciation and critical acclaim for herself by the display of her shear acting talent. This role also earned her the first filmfare award of her career. This was the Best Debut Award of the Filmfare in the female actor category. Her next film was "Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai" which was followed by movie "Asoka". Like "Refugee", these two films also failed at the box office. After a series of failures she finally portrayed a role in multi-starer film "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" which was then the highest grossing film from India. After the success of this film she never had to look back and gave blockbuster hits one after the other.

In 2004, Kareena came up with the most challenging role of her career so far, which was the portrayal of a prostitute in film "Chameli". This was the role which gave her the status of highest paid actress from India along with the Filmfare Award for Best Performance. After this she performed in a number of films and most of them were successful at the box office but could not bring her much critical acclamation until she portrayed a character in film "Omkara".

Today, Kareena Kapoor is the highest paid actress of bollywood and is the brand ambassador to highest number of products in India. Kareena has also performed in a number of stage shows throughout her career. The latest concert she performed at was the Rockstar's concert in which she was accompanied by Actor Salman Khan, John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat and Esha Deol.
