Karen Carpenter Remembered
She, and her brother Richard, formed The Carpenters. She did lead vocals and drums. As well as an accomplished singer, she was also recognized as a leading drummer.
Karen suffered from anorexia nervosa, and died from complications from the disease.

- The Carpenters allowed me to see them back stage for my 17th birthday on November 17, 1973. The song Top of the World was written when they did a concert here,in Nashville in 1971 and it was #1 on my birthday on November 12,1973. Meeting them was meant to be. I still have heard a voice any lovlier since. I still have everything that the Carpenters sent me over the years.

- Karen Carpenter was one of those once in a lifetime talents. I was so terribly sad when she was lost to us so early. She remains one of my all-time favorite artists. Thank you for this tribute. **Blessed**
