Who is Karen Kong ?

Karen Kong is one of the brightest singer in Malaysia. Although she was a failed Malaysian idol participant in 2004 and eliminated in the first round but she has proved her talent. She is not a kind of manufactured pop star. She has released album in Malay language (Mulakan, 2007) and Mandarin (Showtime, 2007) . In 2009, she was trying to go international by introducing her voice to Chinese music fan in Taiwan. Currently, she is based in Hong Kong.

She could be not popular in Western entertainment industry but surely she is a raising star in the East. Currently she is making her way in Hong Kong. Her multi-language ability is a plus. She can sing and communicate in Malay, English, and Mandarin. Sure, she is one of my favorite. I love her "Cinta Hello Kitty". Could be she will be your favorite singer too.

Nomited for best female category (Malay and Chinese) at 2008 AIM award and 2009 Astro Chinese Music Award.

She was also appeared in some commercials such as Samsung mobile, White Formula in Taiwan, Sunsilk, Bigi clothing, Ecobrown, Munchis, Audio-Technica, Dragonica online, Maxis Bhd, etc.

She is the first Malaysian Chinese singer who realese a Malays album.
